Story Behind the Painting

From the Falls is my interpretation of Angel Falls (Salto Ángel), one of Venezuela’s most extraordinary natural wonders.

Although I’ve never visited it in person, it has always represented something much bigger than a destination. To me it symbolizes the beauty, resilience and richness of the country where I was born.

Living abroad has transformed the way I connect with Venezuela. Through painting I’ve found a way to celebrate the places that shaped my identity while sharing them with people who may have never experienced them.

Rather than creating a realistic landscape I wanted to paint how Angel Falls feels to me. Surrounded by vibrant tropical flora and imagined through my own memories and emotions, From the Falls is both a tribute to Venezuela and an invitation to discover its beauty through my eyes.
